Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on August 5 for its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator and host. The real love of her life was writing, and she was awarded an Emmy. The Talk, her outstanding talk show won her an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news program The Early Show for a 10 years. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the anchor for news on The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and eye-opening interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program which featured celebrities such as Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was the reporter for WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton, Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). Her previous jobs include working as a reporter at ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and as a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as completing her final year of university from the University of Southern California. She was a desk attendant to ABC News' Nightline program featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of her journalists heroes. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel for the du-Pont-winning Columbia primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot that examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
